At No. 21 in the coaches’ poll, Peaster’s only hiccup in its district slate has been the first meeting with Brock, as it has rolled through the rest of its opponents. The Lady Hounds will finish out a schedule of 5-straight on-the-road matches this week (Paradise on Tuesday, Ponder on Friday) before returning to home court for the balance of the regular season, including the rematch with the Lady Eagles.
Weatherford hopes to knock off Arlington Lamar on Tuesday, an opportunity to move a step closer to the top four spots in District 3-5A and a playoff berth. As they will likely win at least three of its last four regular season matches, knocking off Lamar and then getting some additional help from the front runners might help the Lady Roos’ cause.
Both Lamar and Arlington High (on Friday) are home games, so the WHS girls will look for the home crowd to help their push down the stretch.
