Five Parker County volleyball teams headed to postseason

District volleyball schedules concluding on Tuesday, with five Parker County teams earning postseason slots. There were two undefeated district champs, one team sharing a district title, a district runner-up and a shared third-place finisher.

 Aledo finished in a tie with Granbury for the District 7-4A title, winning a coin flip to assume the top seed. 

Springtown beat Kennedale Tuesday to conclude its perfect title run (10-0) in District 6-3A. The Lady Porcupines will host Sanger on Friday in a warm-up match.

Brock also swept its District 9-2A slate (10-0) for the outright championship. The Lady Eagles begin their playoff run on Monday, meeting Whitney in a Region II bi-district match to be held at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Also in District 9-2A, Peaster finished league play tied with Boyd and will assume the fourth seed. The Lady Hounds will face Godley in a bi-district match at a time and place to be announced.

  With a second-place finish in District 8-1A, the Poolville Lady Monarchs volleyball team is also headed for postseason play. Poolville compiled a 8-2 record to earn the runner-up slot, and will play either Petrolia or Electra on Monday at Bowie High School. First serve is set for 7 p.m. The Lady Monarchs will stay tuned up with a warm-up match against Forestburg on Friday. Poolville will host the match, which starts at 4:30 p.m.
