    SNYDER, Tex. – The Weatherford College men’s rodeo team still holds a slim lead for the number two spot in the Southwest Region standings after the Western Texas College Rodeo April 3-5. Weatherford, vying for the school’s first team berth in the College National Finals Rodeo, now leads Odessa College by 80 points.

    Starters’ guns will be blazing in the coming week, as all of the Parker County prep schools will step into the blocks (metaphorically and literally) for district track & field competition. The Runnin’ Roos begin their prelims on Tuesday and wind up Wednesday, with District 3-5A competition held at Arlington’s Sam Houston High School.
