MILLSAP MATTERS: Millsap VFD meet for annual dinner, look back at 2013

(Continued)

With a new year beginning folks will be looking toward new clubs to join and volunteer opportunities. Here is a list of some of Millsap’s offerings:

• Heritage Society meets the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at Heritage Park.

• Millsap VFD meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the fire station.

• Millsap Neighborhood Ladies Home and Garden Club meets the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30 a.m. at the Millsap Community Center.

• The Quilting Club meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 9 a.m. at Millsap United Methodist Church.

This is only a portion of local organizations that welcome interested people to their meetings. Perhaps one of these would be a good way to meet people and get involved in something new!

Congratulations to Jose Montes for having the December Recognized Yard by the Millsap City Council and Millsap Neighborhood Ladies Home and Garden Club. A lot of work has been done on the structure in the last few months, plus there are some pretty decorative touches to the place. It looks great!

May each of you and yours have a joyous and peaceful 2014, and I thank you all for reading!
