Conservative, sometimes controversial, talk-show host Glenn Beck will keynote local GOP’s Reagan Day Dinner event

By BRIAN SMITH

Popular conservative talk show host Glenn Beck will highlight the Parker County Republican Party’s Annual Reagan Day Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The event, a fundraiser for the Parker County Republican Party, will take place at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse, 2251 Mineral Wells Highway, in Weatherford. The dinner kicks off at 6 p.m. with a VIP reception and photo session followed by a general reception/silent auction at 6:30 p.m. A program followed by a meal catered by Fire Oak Grill commences at 7 p.m.

During his talk, Beck will share humor and insights on the political climate in the U.S. during his talk.

After many years on the Fox News channel, Beck now hosts “The Glenn Beck Program” daily radio program heard nationwide on more than 400 radio stations, including locally on KFXR (1190-AM) and KPIR (1420-AM).

Beck’s website says he is “the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment” and the nationally syndicated show claims to be the third highest-rated radio talk show among adults ages 25 to 54. He can also be viewed through the TheBLAZETV internet program found at www.theblaze.com.

Beck’s topical Fox News television program once drew a regular crowd of approximately 2.4 million viewers. Beck is also a bestselling author with his latest book, “Miracles and Massacres,” which he says tells “true and untold stories of the making of America.”

Tickets for the Feb. 1 event, which are now available and must be purchased by Jan. 24, start at $100 and go up to $2,000. Attire is business casual or western.
