Roos against the flu

Flu shot clinic today at NGC cafeteria

With cold and flu cases hitting North Texas hard, Weatherford ISD, in partnership with the Parker County Health District, is hosting a vaccination clinic today.

WISD officials say they are taking steps to monitor and limit the spread of the virus. As cases of flu are reported activity across Texas, your assistance is vital in keeping the students and staff healthy.

To date, 21 deaths in North Texas, including one in Wise County, have been attributed to this season’s flu outbreak.

Today’s clinic will take place 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Ninth Grade Center cafeteria. Shots are free to children and students ages 6 months to 18 years. Employees can receive the shot free through Blue Cross Blue Shield or pay $15.
