POLICE BLOTTER: domestic assault arrest reported

Following are some of the offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by the Weatherford Police Department for the period 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday:


Police reported a blue city fire hydrant meter, valued at $2,000, was stolen from a hydrant in the area of BB Fielder and Bethel Road between noon and 1 p.m. Wednesday.


Police were called at 10:04 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 100 block of King Arthur Court where a 34-year-old woman said she was assaulted. Police arrested William Usher, 59, for assault causing bodily injury-family violence-impeding breath or circulation.


A man in the 300 block of West Weatherford Street said between 8:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Wednesday someone entered his home and stole a diamond silver ring, valued at $500; 36 assorted pills of medication; and approximately $5 in loose change.



9:34 a.m., scam/fraud, 400 block of West Ball Street.

10:33 a.m., minor wreck, 500 block of North Main Street.

11:04 a.m., major wreck, 1600 block of Holland Lake Drive.

12:37 p.m., minor wreck, 1500 block of South Main Street.

1:14 p.m., shots heard, 300 block of West Weatherford Street.

1:27 p.m., reckless driver, 1800 block of East Lake Drive.

2:01 p.m., minor wreck, Fort Worth Highway.

5:44 p.m., assault, 1400 block of Fort Worth Highway.

6:57 p.m., theft, 1800 block of South Main Street.

7:16 p.m., suspicious person, 2600 block of East Bankhead Drive.

9:09 p.m., disturbance, 1900 block of Martin Drive.


2:41 a.m., suspicious person, 100 block of Santa Fe Drive.

3:02 a.m., suspicious person, 1000 block of North Main Street.

3:54 a.m., suspicious vehicle, 700 block of Adams Drive.
