Local author’s book signing Saturday at The BookCase

Parker County native Laurie Chance Smith will sign copies of her new book, “Snapshots: Focus on Nature in the Bible,” at The BookCase from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Smith has worked as a nationally and internationally published writer for many years. Her stories, articles, essays and photographs have graced the pages of children’s and adults’ magazines such as Parker County Today, The School Magazine, Sasee, Kids’ Ministry Ideas, Listen, Boys’ Quest, Fun for Kidz, BackHome, and TWINS Magazine. “Snapshots” is her first book.

When asked to describe her book, Smith said: “Strap on some sturdy shoes, sling a camera around your neck and let’s take a journey together. As we walk, we’ll capture snapshots of the nature stories in the Bible. From the tiniest seeds that grow on Earth to the luminous stars that shine in the sky, ‘Snapshots’ explores the miracles of nature described in the Word.”

Visit Laurie’s website at www.lauriechancesmith.com and follow her on Facebook and Twitter for more information.

The BookCase is located at 109 N. Main St., in Weatherford. Call 817-594-7672 for more information.
