PARKER COUNTY —
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner ruled the deaths of Jami and Mallory Evans homicides, according to information recently released.
Fifteen-year-old Mallory Evans died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and neck and her 48-year-old mother died of multiple gunshot wounds to head, according to the medical examiner’s office.
A man identifying himself as Jake Evans, 17, called 911 shortly after midnight Oct. 4 and told the dispatcher that he had shot and killed his mother and sister.
District Judge Graham Quisenberry has appointed Weatherford attorney Mac Smith to represent Evans, who has been denied bond on the capital murder charge and remains in the Parker County Jail.
