Blue Belles captain dances among some stars

Weatherford High School senior and Blue Belles Captian Julia Szabuniewicz traveled to participate in the Texas Dance Educator Association’s All State Dance Team Jan. 8-11 in Houston.

Szabuniewicz is one out of 175 of the top dancers in the state that participated in the week-long event. She also had the opportunity to take a class from Kherington Payne, season four contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance” and star of the movie “Fame.”

Hayley Herbert, season 10 contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance,” also taught a contemporary master class.
