VETERANS’ CORNER: Helping homeless vets

Many thanks to the VFW Post 2399 for its Spring Chili Cook-Off event. AmVets Post 133 “Camo Cook Team’s” first venture into this competitive arena proved to be very fun filled and rewarding. Three first place awards, Neda Vines-salsa; Bobbie Lathrop-chicken; and Charlie Chance-venison, led the nine total awards accumulated by the Camo Cook Team.

If you belong to any organization, gather some interested people and enter a cook off. Lots of fun and friendly competition to be had.

Speak to you again next week.

Jim Vines is commander of AmVets Post 133.
