Annual Christmas parade set for Saturday morning

The 23rd Annual Gov. Samuel W.T. Lanham Sons of the Confederate Army’s Christmas parade is this coming Saturday, Dec. 7.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Ninth Grade Center and go north on South Main Street, taking the traditional rodeo parade route to Cherry Park.

Entrants should be in the staging area up by 9 a.m. Entries will be judged and ribbons awarded in six categories. There will be a trophy presented for the entry judged Best of Parade.

The parade coincides with the annual Christmas on the Square event that day in downtown Weatherford.
