Pat Green headlining Buckets & Boots

By LIBBY CLUETT

GRAFORD – Organizers for the Buckets and Boots benefit concert slated for July 13 announced today that its “Texas Country legend” performer will be Grammy-nominated hit-maker Pat Green.

Green performed at the first annual B&B concert in 2011, which drew nearly 4,000 people.

Green and a long lineup of performers helped raise funds and awareness for local fire and law enforcement departments that spent countless hours tending to the season’s wildfires. By the end of the year, over 130 fires, including seven major fires, consumed an estimated 200,000 acres in Palo Pinto County (nearly one-seventh of the county). Blazes also destroyed over 200 structures; and the 337 Fire claimed the life of firefighter Caleb Hamm on July 7.

This year’s concert and live auction will again take place at host venue Rocker B Ranch, in Graford, and will raise funds for Palo Pinto County fire departments as well as for the West Fire Department.

The lineup

The event features several bands and artists, as well as Willie Robertson, star of the hit A&E series ‘Duck Dynasty,’ who will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Gates to the Rocker B Ranch will open at 4:30 p.m. and the Red-Dirt country band Turnpike Troubadors will get the concert started at 6 p.m. The lineup also includes Green and a live auction, followed by Burleson native Casey Donahue and his band, and concludes with Tracy Lawrence.

Costs and location

Parking is $10 at the gate. General admission tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in advance online at bucketsandboots.com, or at the gate. Those interested in VIP packages or tables can contact Chrissy at (817) 984-8532 by Wednesday.

The Rocker B Ranch is located at 1125 Cheney Lane, south of State Highway 254 and about 6 miles southwest of Graford. The ranch is just under 20 miles northwest of Mineral Wells.
