WISD conducts joint meeting to discuss safety, security in schools

Local and area law enforcement and emergency services personnel recently met in a joint meeting with Weatherford ISD administrators to discuss safety and security throughout the District in the District Services Building Boardroom.

Grant Priess, WISD Executive Director of Safety, Security, and Operations, provided information to those in attendance about what the District has in place – as well as future plans in the area of safety and security. Then, following a PowerPoint presentation, Priess opened up the discussion to the professionals as to what they thought needed to be added for a more safe and secure environment.

Plans are now in place for additional training exercises as well as additional security measures within the District.
