Solar panel thefts

Thefts of solar panels that operate electronic gates were reported Wednesday by two individuals.

The first solar panel theft was reported at 8:27 a.m. in the 2300 block of Annetta Centerpoint Road. The victim said the panel, valued at $100, was stolen sometime the previous night.

Later on Wednesday a theft of a solar panel was made in the 3000 block of East Bankhead Highway, where the victim placed the value of the panel at $168. The theft reportedly took place between 10 a.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.
