Weatherford Art group honors artists for January

The Weatherford Art Association recently announced its January Artists of the Month. Guest artist was oil painter DeBob Jacobs, who demonstrated her plein air techniques with a small landscape oil painting.

First place was awarded to Carrol Richardson and her watercolor painting titled “Hard Scrabble #2.”  Carrol’s art will be on display at First Financial Bank on the Weatherford Square until the end of February.

Second place was awarded to John Stout and his large oil painting titled, “Longhorn.” A canvas copy of his work will be on display at the Fort Worth Community Credit Union until late February.

Third place was awarded to Jack Eidson Jr. and his oil painting titled, “Sawtooth Mountain II.” Jack’s painting is on display at the First National Bank on Palo Pinto Street until late February.

The Firehouse Gallery is currently hosting the Western Art Show and Sale that will run through Sunday. The public is invited to visit the gallery at 119 Palo Pinto St.
