POLICE BLOTTER: Pair with history of arrests charged with possessing controlled substances


He was released Tuesday afternoon after posting bonds totaling $5,000, according to Parker County Jail records.

Robbery investigated

A 27-year-old man told Weatherford police he was robbed at knife-point Sunday in the 200 block of Atwood Court. The victim said around 5:15 p.m. the unknown suspect took a smartphone, cash and his Honda SUV. No arrest was reported and no further information was provided by police.

Fence damaged

A resident in the 800 block of North Oakridge Drive reported that someone drove their vehicle into his fence, causing $500 worth of damage. The incident reportedly occurred between Thursday and Sunday.

Debit card fraud

A 23-year-old man told Weatherford police someone without his permission used his debit card to withdraw $344 cash.

Car tarred

Police were called late Saturday morning to the 2000 block of Santa Fe Drive in reference to a complaint by a woman that someone sprayed a tar-like substance on her vehicle. The complainant said the incident have occurred between 9:50 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. that day.

Tax filing fraud

A 40-year-old woman told Weatherford police someone fraudulently used her Social Security number to file a tax return in her name to the IRS.

Mailbox damaged

A woman in the 100 block of West Lake Drive told Weatherford police someone destroyed her brick mailbox, at an estimated cost of $1,000 to replace. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

Caught thieving

A woman in the 200 block of North Dubellette called police Friday evening when she reportedly saw two males taking things from her back yard. The complainant stated she observed both males jump the fence and flee after she caught them in the act. No arrests were reported and all the items taken were recovered by the complainant.
