Upcoming candidates forums slated

Candidates forum taking place Monday

The Parker County Republican Party’s rescheduled candidates forum is 7 p.m. Monday at the courthouse on the Weatherford square.

Republican candidates running in the March 4 party primary will introduce themselves and field questions from a panel and questions submitted by the audience.

East Parker County forum

The East Parker County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs Committee will host a candidates forum at New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20, Hudson Oaks, TX 76087 on Feb. 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of this nonpartisan forum is to allow voters to become more familiar with the candidates running for positions in the upcoming elections. The forum will be conducted in a structured format with predetermined questions. No questions will be allowed from the floor.

Moderators are Darcy Young, EPC Legislative Affairs Committee Chair and Kathy Meyer, EPC board of directors.
