POLICE BLOTTER: Woman taking walk gets ride to jail

Drug walk

A Weatherford police officer just before 11 p.m. Monday reportedly stopped a man and woman seen walking in the 400 block of Brazos Street. The officer said the woman, identified as Tiffany Stewart Clarke, 38, of Weatherford, was found in possession of methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana.

Clarke was arrested for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. She remained in Parker County Jail on Tuesday afternoon under bonds totaling $36,000.

Clarke has a string of arrests dating back to 2000 on charges including drug possession, assault and theft, according to jail records.

Traffic stop turned drug arrest

At 11:04 p.m. Friday, a Weatherford police officer reported stopping a vehicle in the 300 block of South Bowie Drive on a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Eulalio Rodriguez, 41, of Fort Worth, and was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and cocaine along with paraphernalia.

Rodriguez was transported to Parker County Jail and booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and placed under a Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold. He remained in the jail on Tuesday afternoon, according to records.

Driving drunk and suspended

At 11:55 p.m. Friday, a Weatherford officer reported seeing a Ford SUV traveling northbound in the 1800 block of Bethel Drive failing to keep a single lane, then failing to stop at Bethel Road and Interstate 20. The vehicle was reportedly stopped and the driver,

Penelope Lackey Engel, 45, of Weatherford, was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and with a previous suspension for an alcohol-related offense, police said. She was also found to be operating a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated.

Engel was arrested and booked into Parker County Jail, where was released Saturday under bonds totaling $1,750 on a charge DWI and driving with a suspended license. Jail records showed Engel was arrested last June on a DWI charge.
