POLICE BLOTTER: Weatherford police answer calls for service

— Following are Weatherford Police Department calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday:


200 block of Cottonwood Street – an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Cottonwood Street in reference to a stolen vehicle. The officer met with the victim, who advised that sometime between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, unknown person(s) without consent of the owner took a Chevrolet four-door passenger vehicle from the driveway. The car was described as a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt valued at $3,500.


1800 block of South Main Street –  Complainant advised that sometime between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Wednesday someone used a cutting device and burglarized a coin-operated water and air dispensing machine. The machine was valued at approximately $1,500 and contained approximately $600 in coins.


200 block of Love Street – on Wednesday at approximately 10:45 p.m., an officer observed a white 1995 Ford F-250 pickup display an expired registration. A traffic stop was made in the 200 block of Love Street.

The driver, Nicolas Castro Jr., 32, reportedly had an invalid driver’s license and a previous conviction for driving with an invalid license.

Castro was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle on a highway while his license or privilege to operate a vehicle has been suspended or revoked, and while having a previous conviction for the same offense. Castro was transported to Parker County Jail. Castro was also issued a citation for having an open container of alcohol.


202 block of College Park Drive – on Wednesday at approximately 10:45 hours an officer was dispatched to a call of an intoxicated person walking around a housing facility.

The officer located Adolph Alan Flores, 46, and reportedly observed signs of intoxication. The officer completed an investigation and determined Flores was intoxicated in a public place and a danger to himself and others, police said.

Flores was arrested and transported to the Parker County Jail.

4:45 p.m., missing person, 100 College Park Drive.

7:21 p.m., animal call, 300 Garden Lane.

7:28 p.m., animal call, 100 E. Interstate 20.

8:17 p.m., reckless driver, 1000 Lynn Street.

9:11 p.m., minor accident, 2600 E. Bankhead Drive.

9:53 p.m., animal call, 1400 E. Bankhead Drive.

10:13 p.m., theft, 1800 S. Main Street.

10:58 p.m., found property, 1200 N. Main Street.

11:54 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 500 N. Main Street.
