Today begins week of ‘BLEED BLUE … THINK PINK’

Today kicks off Weatherford ISD’s annual PINK OUT with a “PINK OUT the School,” followed by a “PINK OUT the Stadium” this evening during the varsity football game.

PINK OUT wraps up on Oct. 11 with a final “PINK OUT the Gym” at the WHS home volleyball games.

Students, staff, and community members are encouraged to wear pink on these days. Official “BLEED BLUE… THINK PINK” T-shirts are on sale at the District Services Building, 1100 Longhorn Drive, for $15 each (add $2 for 2XL and up). Those individuals who wish to purchase a shirt, but cannot make it to the DSB, may visit the WHS Lady Roo Volleyball website at www.ladyroovolleyball.info.

All proceeds from the sale of the “BLEED BLUE… THINK PINK” shirts will be donated to the Parker County Health Foundation and are designated for mammogram services in Parker County.

The district thanked the donations from Weatherford Regional Medical Center, Texas Bank Financial, Downpour – First Baptist Church Weatherford, and Willow Park Baptist Church for underwriting the costs of the shirts.
