“I love Parker County. It’s a great place to live and I want it to be a great place for Canyon and Cashly, as well as other children,” Tallman said. “With the help of organizations like United Way of Parker County, we can make that happen.”

As campaign chair, Tallman will work closely with the United Way board, staff and community volunteers to reach fundraising goals. He will lead the volunteer fund raising council which solicits money for community health and human service programs in Parker County.

This year’s campaign kicks off with the annual Ride United Bike Ride on Sept. 21 and runs through December. Donations can be accepted at any time.

Last year, United Way of Parker County distributed more than $200,000 to 15 community investment programs. Donations received support programs which target education and youth, income and crisis, health and wellness and seniors. All funds raised in Parker County stay in Parker County.

To make a donation or volunteer, contact the United Way office at P.O. Box 1476, Weatherford, TX 76086, call 817-596-5986 or email director@unitedwayofparkercounty.org. For more information visit the United Way website – www.unitedwayofparkercounty.org.
