Bag Lady Luncheon

Tickets on sale; donations of handbags requested

The annual Bag Lady Luncheon, benefitting the Parker County Committee on Aging, is set for Aug. 29 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse building on Mineral Wells Highway west of Weatherford.

The viewing of the bags that will be auctioned off begins at 11 a.m. with lunch served at noon. Tickets are $40 each and sponsor tables are available.

Plains Capital Bank is the speaker sponsor for this year’s Bag Lady Luncheon. They are sponsoring former Miss America Dr. Shirley Cothran Barret, this year’s luncheon speaker.

Donations of new and used designer handbags are being accepted at the Senior Center, 1224 Holland Lake Road.
