Lauren Altom wins Miss Texas Pre-Teen crown; advances to national pageant

Lauren Altom, of Weatherford, won the title of 2013 Miss Texas Jr. Pre-Teen for the 7-9 age division during the National American Miss pageant held in Dallas.

Lauren will represent Weatherford and Texas at the national pageant in Anaheim, Calif. She is the daughter of Aaron and Sarah Altom.

Along with being crowned the winner in her age division, Lauren was also first runner up in the optional Casual Wear Modeling Contest.

The pageant was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dallas on July 25-27.

Lauren will be a third grader this year at Mary Martin Elementary. Her activities and achievements include academy soccer, all “A” honor roll, Exceptional Citizenship Award, Dancing Indian in the recent “Peter Pan” production and Cross the Line student.
