Easter egg hunts, activities slated

Several public Easter egg hunts are coming up this week. Here are the local ones we are aware of so far:

Friday

Keeneland Nursing & Rehabilitation, 700 S. Bowie St., invites the public to an Easter egg hunt Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Second Time Around will provide live entertainment. Kids can enjoy a day of face painting, games, a carnival clown and free photos with the Easter Bunny. The egg hunt begins at 2 p.m. with prize eggs for all kids. A carnival will offer popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs and prizes for all kids.

A quilt called ‘Grandma’s Garden’ will be raffled off at 3:30 p.m. along with a Cote d’ Azur ladies watch (valued at $89.99).

Saturday

• Parker Paws Easter egg hunt, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Home Depot in Weatherford. Meet McGruff and enjoy fun activities for the kids.

• Easter Eggstravaganza for toddlers through fifth grade. Parents are welcome. Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford. 817-594-2744.

• A community-wide Easter egg hunt sponsored by Brock Baptist Church begins at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy free hotdogs, drinks and door prizes and pictures with the Easter Bunny. • Mad Hatter Tea Party and Picnic with Easter egg hunt at Clark Gardens, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Children’s crafts. Easter egg hunt for children under age 12 starts at 1 p.m. by age division.

Admission fee includes picnic sack lunch while supplies last.
