Rottweiler is featured pet of the week

Meet Dexter. She is a beautiful Rottweiler mix. She is good on a leash, knows how to sit and might even be house trained. Dexter appears to be good with other dogs and would make a great walking or jogging buddy. She has been at the shelter for nearly 2 months now and is looking for her very own forever home.

If you might be interested in Dexter or any of her other friends, they can be visited at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesday and Friday until 6 p.m., or visit the Animal Shelter’s website and see all of Dexter’s friends at www.weatherfordtx.gov/animal.

For the month of April, all adoptions are on special for $40. This covers their sterilization, vaccinations, microchip and all the free love that they will bring to your family.

For those who can’t adopt but would still like to help, Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter always appreciates donations of cat litter, dog food, cat food, trash bags, cleaning supplies, and as well as monetary donations.
