POLICE BLOTTER: vehicle burglary and meth arrest among reports

Following are some of the offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by the Weatherford Police Department for the period 6 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday:

Vehicle burglary

A storage trailer in the 1800 block of South Main Street was broken into sometime over the weekend and a “quickie” cut-off saw, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen.

Meth arrest

An investigation late Monday night in the 300 block of North Alamo Street led to a man’s arrest.

Police said Lucas Glen Lewis, 25, was found in possession of less than 1 gram of methamphetamine and had four active warrants issued by Springtown police.

DWI with a child

Police late Monday night stopped a 1995 GMC Sierra pick up in the 1700 block of South Bowie Drive for reportedly failing to signal a turn. The officer said he smelled alcohol and the driver, Jason Scott Hall, 45, admitted he had been drinking. A field sobriety test was administered and Hall was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated while having a child under 15 years of age in the vehicle.

Parole violator arrested

Just before midnight late Monday night, police said an investigation in the 200 block of West Bridge Street led to the identification of a man as Roque Maturino Jr., 22, who was found to have an active parole violation warrant. Maturino was arrested and taken to Parker County Jail.

8:16 a.m., minor wreck, 2200 block of East Bankhead Drive.

10:36 a.m., minor wreck, 100 block of Otto Drive.

11:37 a.m., theft, 900 block of West Bridge Street.

12:15 p.m., criminal mischief, 2100 block of Bethel Road

5:48 p.m., hit-and-run wreck, College Park Drive.

6:29 p.m., intoxicated driver, 100 block of East Eighth Street.

7:10 p.m., credit card or debit card abuse, 1000 Crown Valley Drive.

8:41 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 1100  block of Fort Worth Highway.

21:17 p.m., disturbance, 1200 block of West Ball Street.

9:49 p.m., suspicious vehicle,

700 block of North Mill Street.

Tuesday

12:53 a.m., suspicious person, 100 block of Alford Drive.
