Chamber hosting ‘Shop Local’ event Nov. 8

The Weatherford Chamber of Commerce wants everyone to remember to shop local.

To help get the community ready, they are hosting a “Shop Local” luncheon. This luncheon will take place Friday, Nov. 8, at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse event facility located at 2201 Mineral Wells Highway. There will be several local shops and businesses displaying their items for sale. A box lunch will be provided for those attending, but the main focus will be on shopping.

Local vendors will have shopping available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Some of the businesses already scheduled to participate are Belk’s, Leesha’s Boutique, Donna Anderson: Scentsy, Sunset Travel Vacations, Something Special, Ram Granite, merchants from the Junktion, and others.

There will also be a table for non-profits to have information available for those folks looking to make some end-of-the-year donations. Another highlight of this event will be local caterers and restaurants present, highlighting their holiday eats and treats. Attendees will see what is available for catering for the holiday season and sample treats. This luncheon has a little bit of everything you need to help “keep it home for the holidays.”

For more information on this shop local event, call Peggy Hutton at 817-596-3801. Everyone is invited and encouraged to bring a friend and support local businesses while getting a jump start on Christmas shopping.

A box lunch will be provided so please RSVP by Monday, Nov. 4, to 817-596-3801 or email info@weatherford-chamber.com. You can visit the Weatherford chamber website for more information at www.weatherford-chamber.com.
