By a 3-2 vote, Weatherford City Council this evening has adopted a ban on smoking in restaurants and places where food is prepared, consumed and sold. The WD will have a full story later this evening.

Three indicted in steel bar beating
A Parker County grand jury indicted three people accused of beating a man with a steel bar during a Christmas Day robbery.
SPRINGTOWN – After finding that a breaker manufactured by a company with a history of issues contributed to a house fire Friday, Parker County Fire Marshal Shawn Scott is urging Parker County residents with Federal Pacific Electric Stab-Lok circuit breakers to call an electrician and get them checked for safety.
Fire destroys Dennis Road residence
A fire that destroyed a two-story house off Dennis Road around 10 p.m. Monday was ruled accidental by the Parker County Fire Marshal’s Office.
