LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Barnwell, Johnson receive writers' support

Kudos for Barnwell

Dear Editor,

I applaud Parker County Treasurer Jenny Barnwell for her efforts to increase the county’s revenue, as evidenced by her recent proposal to commissioners’ court.

Mrs. Barnwell is acting responsibly and as a good steward of the taxpayers’ money. While recognizing the need for budget cuts, she is wisely looking for ways to maximize the return on the county’s investments.

Mrs. Barnwell is doing her job. We, as citizens of Parker County, need to keep her working for us. Join with me and my family and vote for County Treasurer Jenny Barnwell.

Writer likes Johnson for JP4

Dear Editor,

I want to share my personal opinion and knowledge of Lynn Johnson.

I went to her for legal help after my husband died. I found Ms. Johnson to be very competent in the work with which I needed help. Not only competent, but she was personally present to listen to my story. She stood with me before the probate judge and calmed my grieving nerves. I knew Ms. Johnson was there for me.

I can gladly add my name to the list of grateful people who have been on the receiving end of her work ethic and her personal care.
