Aledo event will raise funds for local charity

ALEDO – Impact Athletic Training Center, Parker County’s premiere youth and adult fitness and gymnastics training facility, is ready to cut the ribbon.

Impact will host a free community open house and grand opening celebration on June 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All donations and raffle money collected at the event will benefit the Aledo Children’s AdvoCats.

Festivities will commence with remarks by Mayor Kit Marshall and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the East Parker Chamber of Commerce, followed by games and activities for visitors to enjoy while touring the new facility.

Competition team gymnasts will entertain attendees by performing skills throughout the event. A flip-a-thon will raise money for the AdvoCats. New students who register at the grand opening will receive free registration.

“We are so excited to be here in Parker County.  We hope to have a positive ‘impact’ on both the children we serve and the local community,” said Sydnie Evans, director.

Impact offers competitive gymnastics training, recreational classes, power tumbling, youth and adult conditioning classes, after-school activities, camps, birthday parties and more. Impact opened its doors on May 13 and is already home to the largest competitive gymnastics team in Parker County with athletes from Aledo, Weatherford, Brock, Granbury, Azle and west Fort Worth. Summer classes and camps are quickly filling up.

Impact Athletic Training Center is located at 1151-B Underwood Road. Summer hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and by appointment. For more information, call (817) 899-6681.
