LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Please end the road noise

Please end the road noise

Dear Editor,

Just want to take a minute to talk about road noise. We live off of Zion Hill Road. We live in a beautiful community and are blessed with wonderful neighbors. We love living here, but the problem began about two years ago when they resurfaced Zion Hill Road.

Now I’ll be the first to admit, I’m no expert on road making, but I don’t have to be to understand that the material they used is substandard. Ever since the resurfacing the road noise is so loud we can’t sit outside and enjoy what we moved here for in the first place.

Again, I’m no road expert, but my neighbors and myself are citizens of this county, we pay taxes and, let me assure you, we vote. Whatever candidate is willing to make some changes in this area is pretty much guaranteed our votes.

I know some might think with all the problems we have this is trivial. Well I’ll admit it’s not world peace, but it’s something we can fix. Thanks for reading and we would appreciate some help with this problem.

The City of Weatherford is considering an ordinance that would ban smoking inside restaurants and enclosed areas where food is prepared, sold or consumed. Do you agree with this proposal?
