In other county contested school board races, Millsap ISD has three candidates seeking two open seats – the two with the most votes win. Incumbents Tommy Lucia and Jerry Walker face Timothy Kukuk in that election.
Three of Sprintown ISD’s four seats up for election are contested. Place 1 incumbent Mike Ray is facing challenger Rusty Brawner. Place 3 incumbent Vicky Trichel is opposed by Jay Grubis. Place 7 is open with Al Garrett, Gene Terry and Damon Liles hoping to win the seat. Place 2 incumbent Keith Springfield is unopposed.
Two seats are open this year on the Weatherford College Board of Trustees. One has a contested race between Place 2 incumbent Elaine Carter and seat hopefuls Don Allen and Dale Fleeger. Mac Smith is unchallenged for the Place 1 seat.
In contested city council races in the county, Annetta has three contested races. Mayor Bruce Pinckard seeks re-election over challenger Rick Machak. Place 3 incumbent Chuck Sheridan is facing Joann Jessup and Place 5 is being sought by Mike Brasovan and Kent Stasey. George Ripley is unopposed for the Place 4 seat.
Reno has a contested city council race in Place 4 between Carol Houlihan and incumbent Keith Eric Hunter.
In Springtown, the only contested race is for the position of mayor between incumbent Doug Hughes and challenger Tom Clayton.
Willow Park’s Place 1 city council seat has incumbent Brian Thornburg seeking re-election over challenger Chawn Gilliland.
