Poolville JH Math, Science team members take honors at area meet

POOLVILLE – The Poolville Junior High Math and Science Team competed March 2 at Kirby World Academy in Wichita Falls. Nine PJH students attended the meet with about 150 other students.

This was the second qualifying meet. No one qualified for state competition; however the regional qualifier was Saturday  at Azle for one last chance to make it to state.

Poolville JH results from the Wichita Falls meet are:

Eighth grade

Christopher Tunnell placed 10th in Number Sense and 12th in Calculator.

Seventh grade

Madelyn Gilmore placed 12th in Number Sense and 17th in Science.

Sarah Kelly placed third in Number Sense, third in Calculator and 14th in Science.

Logan Spikes placed eighth in Number Sense and fifth in Calculator.

Tyler Tunnell placed 11th in Calculator.

Fifth grade

Garret Lokey placed eighth in Number Sense, 13th in Calculator, 15th in Mathematics and 14th in Science.

Dalton Sprague placed second in Number Sense, fifth in Calculator, third in Mathematics and fifth in Science.

Wyatt Thomas placed fourth in Number Sense, second in Calculator, sixth in Mathematics and eighth in Science.

Christian Elliott placed fifth in Number Sense, fourth in Mathematics and 10th in Science.
