PARKER COUNTY —

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing last week.

Investigators are searching for 15-year-old Abigail “Abby” Samona Rubio, of Parker County, who is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds and having long, wavy, strawberry blond hair, hazel eyes.

Rubio was reportedly last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and carrying backpack when she reportedly walked out of the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center Thursday, missing her last three classes.

The girl’s grandmother reported her missing later Thursday when she did not arrive home, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.

Rubio did not take her prescribed medications or cell phone with her.

“We have the best team of investigators assigned to this case,” Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said. “They are diligently trying to locate Abigail.”

A witness, who saw information about Rubio’s disappearance on social media, reportedly contacted the sheriff’s office this week and reported that they may have seen Rubio Friday near FM 730 speaking to a man parked in a vehicle on the side of the road, according to the sheriff’s office.

The vehicle was described as a later model black Impala and the driver described as having an extremely fair complexion with dark hair and a mustache.

Anyone with information about Rubio’s whereabouts or disappearance is urged to call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at (817) 594-8845.

Parker County Crime Stoppers, which can be reached at (817) 599-5555, is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the location of Rubio. Callers can remain anonymous.
