PASTOR POPHIN: You never know what a day may bring

(Continued)

You never know what a day may bring. To be honest, I never expected the day to be that way. Jesus told us about days like this. In Luke 9:35-38, we find this occurrence: “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”

Note these words in this passage: Jesus went, proclaiming good news, healing, had compassion, (and told us to) ask the Lord. What powerful words with more powerful results.

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, now is the time to place your life in His hands. If you do, ask the Lord to make you a “harvester.” There is such joy in finding and sharing the Good News concerning Jesus, the Savior.
