ESD public hearing set for Tuesday in Annetta

ANNETTA – A public hearing is set for Tuesday evening at Annetta City Hall concerning a petition by the Annettas seeking annexation into Emergency Services District No. 3.

The towns were included in the successful May annexation election that brought them into ESD No. 1 along with the Aledo fire district. However, days after the election, and before the votes were canvassed and made official, the Annettas delivered a petition to ESD No. 3 officials seeking inclusion in that district, based at Hudson Oaks Fire Department.

The petitioned area includes land within the city limits of Annetta, Annetta North and Annetta South as well as their extraterritorial jurisdictions.

The public hearing is set for 6 p.m. at Annetta City Hall on Old Annetta Road.
