Parker County man killed in single-vehicle wreck

By CHRISTIN COYNE

A 60-year-old Parker County man was killed around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash in the 2100 block of FM Road 3325, also known as Farmer Road.

A spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, which is investigating the wreck, reported that a 2012 Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by David Ronald Cox ran off the road, continued along the roadway hitting a culvert and rolled end-over-end before coming to rest on its side.

Firefighters were called to extricate Cox, who DPS said was wearing a seatbelt.

However, Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner had not released the cause and manner of death as of Tuesday evening.

Construction is ongoing along the west shoulder of much of Farmer Road, located in eastern Parker County, which runs between Interstate 20 north to Confederate Parkway. However, it was unclear Tuesday whether that played a role in the crash.
