— The Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division is conducting a robbery investigation after a 57-year-old Weatherford man was reportedly beaten in his home.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said two male suspects knocked on the victim’s residence in the 200 block of Montgomery Lane around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday. The victim stated he recognized one of the suspects as an acquaintance and allowed the men inside his home. Once inside, the suspects physically assaulted the homeowner, bound his hands and feet with duct tape and pulled his hair, according to reports.

The victim managed to escape and ran to a nearby relative’s home, who dialed 911.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, finding the victim with numerous injuries. The victim said after the assault the suspects took a flat-screen television and two rifles from his residence.

Sheriff Fowler said investigators are diligently investigating the case, following up on leads and attempting to identify and locate the suspects involved.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and is around 30 years old. Due to the need for medical attention, the victim was unable to give a description of the second suspect to deputies. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
