Two arrests made following pursuit

They were identified as Marco Oslando Guerra, 27, and Miguel Angel Salazar, 19, both of Weatherford. Guerra was charged with evading detention and remain in jail Thursday evening under a $3,000 bond. Salazar was also charged with evading detention and remained Thursday in jail under a $2,500 bond.

Sheriff’s deputies searched the residence and surrounding area but did not locate the third suspect. The vehicle was impounded.

The 18-year-old owner of the Oldsmobile reported it stolen to Weatherford police. He said it was stolen from a store’s parking lot in the 1800 block of South Main Street. However, he later admitted he falsely reported it stolen in an attempt to cover for his friends, who he said he let borrow the car.

The case is ongoing and will be filed with the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.
