Local resident candidate for title of Miss HSU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Twenty Henderson State University students will vie for the title of Miss HSU 2013 on Thursday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in Arkansas Hall.

One of the contestants is HSU junior Shawna Henderson, of Weatherford.

The pageant will feature swimsuit, evening gown and talent competitions. The pageant is a preliminary event for the Miss Arkansas Pageant.

Entertainment will be provided by Miss HSU 2012 Miranda Johnson, Lauren Faulkner, Michael Ordonez, Connor Rayburn, Sloane Roberts, Candace Sanders and Jacob Flores. Ricki Rebollar, a junior at Henderson, will serve as host. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Miss HSU pageant has a long and proud tradition at Henderson State University. The first pageant was held in Arkansas Hall on March 24, 1960.
