Parents: Lannie and Susanne Fulton.

Post-graduation plans

Attending the University of Texas at Arlington to obtain a degree in Engineering.

Post-college plans

Apply my knowledge and engineering degree to a career in engineering and a future dream of creating something to better the world.

What will be your best memory of high school?

Competing with my math team at the UIL state competitions. Every math meet we went to was so much fun, and winning isn’t half bad either.

To who or what do you feel you owe your academic success?

I feel like reading is the main reason I have achieved success. As a young child my grandparents read to me, and I soon learned to read on my own before starting kindergarten. Throughout the years my quizzical nature led me to read to gain knowledge and educate myself on a variety of subjects.

Anything especially interesting in your background, possibly obstacles such as family, moving around a lot, etc., that could have but did not prevent you from graduating at the top of your class?

The only big issue I’ve ever had is time-management. I’ve been involved in so many groups and participated in so many activities that it at times became hard to focus on school work. Balancing sports, academics,

leadership and college work has been the most difficult task during my high school career.

Was graduating in the top two a goal of yours throughout high school or before?

Yes, my parents have always pushed me to do my best and I’ve maintained high grades since elementary school. What message do you have for your classmates as you move to the next phases of your lives? Don’t be

afraid. The “real world” may be different but it’s not bad, just a new chapter in your life. Embrace it and live it to the fullest.
