Post-college plans

I will serve eight years or more in the Army as a nurse and, hopefully, be stationed abroad. If the military permits it, I will pursue a master’s and specialize in whatever they deem best.

What will be your best memory of high school?

My best memory of high school will be the night of June 1. I will graduate knowing I made my family proud and, soon, my country as well.

Anything especially interesting in your background, possibly obstacles such as family, moving around a lot, etc., that could have but did not prevent you from graduating at the top of your class?

As an Army brat, my family moved frequently when I was younger but we finally settled down in Springtown.

Was graduating in the top two a goal of yours throughout high school or before?

It became a goal of mine during my freshman year.

What message do you have for your classmates as you move to the next phases of your lives?

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)

What advice do you have for your schoolmates and younger students concerning their academics? What is something that you can tell them that might help them in their studies and grades and help them achieve their goals and dreams?

Live by the phrase, “Carpe Diem.” Always remember the wise words of Jim Rohn, “Either you run the day, or the day runs you.”
