Parker County Sheriff's Office officials identified the victim of Monday's homicide near Peaster as 51-year-old Curtis Wayne Kuehner.

The sheriff's department said the investigation into the apparent shooting death is continuing.

His wife, Katherine K. Kuehner, 53, was arrested at the residence in the 3000 block of Dusk Drive, northwest of Weatherford, and booked Monday evening into the Parker County Jail on a murder charge. No bond had been set as of Tuesday morning.

Listed at 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, Kuehner's jail book-in photo shows her with a badly blackened left eye. Kuehner listed the Dusk Drive residence as her home.

The incident was reported around 3:15 p.m. Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler, the 52-year-old man found dead appeared to have been shot, though investigators were awaiting the autopsy results from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the manner of death.

Sheriff’s investigators said Katherine K. Kuehner appeared to have injuries consistent with having been involved in a recent physical altercation and said she implicated herself in the shooting, although said she has not been cooperative in the investigation.

“The investigation is still in its early stage,” said Sheriff Fowler.

Sheriff’s CID investigators noted there is a previous history of domestic calls to the residence dating back to 2010 in which the individuals did not wish to cooperate with deputies and refused to press charges.

“Our CID investigators are continuing to gather facts and details in this case,” Fowler said.

He added the suspected murder weapon was believed to be a .357 revolver, which was collected as evidence along with another handgun from the home.
