An Elvis experience

David Allen’s tribute show promises a whole lotta shakin’ this Saturday

“Elvis did everything a certain way and to be as ‘true as you can’ fulfills the formula for me,” Allen said. “The black leather, rhinestones, jumpsuits, gold jewelry and black sideburns make up only a small piece of Elvis’ persona. He was an innovator of ‘rock n roll.’ Elvis had so many different musical influences, and it showed throughout his whole life through the blues, country, rockabilly, rock.”

Allen goes strictly “by the book” and tries to recreate Elvis as accurately as possible. He is always complimented on his expressions, gestures and mannerisms. Allen performs all four eras of Elvis’ career – the 1950s, the movie years, the black leather ‘68’ Come Back Special and the Las Vegas years.

The show will be backed by the Dallas-based Elvis tribute band Fever. Fever has existed for more than 15 years backing Elvis and other celebrity tribute artists around the United States. They are highly regarded as one of the best and longest running tribute bands in the world today.
