Man stabbed in leg, suspect runs and no arrest reported

A man was transported to the hospital Sunday morning for a leg injury following a stabbing in Western Lake Estates.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the 200 block of Tumbleweed Drive around 6 a.m. Sunday morning and deputies responded to Weatherford Regional Medical Center, where a 32-year-old man reportedly said that a known person assaulted him the night before.

The man reportedly told deputies that he was walking to a relative’s residence and was near the intersection of Comanche Trail and Lakeview Trail when the suspect stabbed him in the right calf and fled the area.

The man was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment, according to the sheriff’s office.

The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, Deputy Danie Huffman said.
