Health Foundation accepting grant applications for 2014

Parker County Health Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that uses its funds to enhance the health and well being of the citizens of Parker County. These funds are made possible by generous contributions from local businesses and community members through the efforts of the Foundation.

The Foundation is accepting applications from non-profit organizations that assist Parker County citizens with medical needs. Applicant’s program must be consistent with the current Parker County Health Foundation Mission Statement to be considered.

If you would like additional information or a grant application, contact Donna Kirkpatrick at 817-594-1990, or donnakirkpatrick@parkercountyhealthfoundation.org. Deadline for application submission is Thursday, Oct. 3.

The board of directors raises funds through the Foundation’s two major annual fundraisers, the Pink Luncheon and the Parker County Health Foundation Charity Gala (formerly Cuttin’ Capital Charity Ball). All proceeds from these events remain in Parker County.

The Foundation will have its Eighth Annual Pink Luncheon on Oct. 11 at Victory Baptist Family Life Center. The guest speaker is Leslie Mouton, news anchor and reporter for KSAT-12 in San Antonio. Funds raised at this event will be used to provide mammography screenings for Parker County residents. Thanks to community support, tickets to this event are already sold out.
