Parker County —
The Countywide Cleanup is Saturday, April 9, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at precinct barns.
Parker County residents are encouraged to clean up their personal property and form neighborhood groups to clean and mow public areas.
Cleanup day is for residential, not commercial, disposal. Residents are required to bring proof of residency.
Commissioners’ precinct barns will have areas or receptacles designated for the following items: Aluminum, iron, glass etc.; Newspapers, cardboard; Tires (rims removed); Furniture/appliances; Dried paint cans; Lumber, limbs and brush; Batteries, oil filters, and oil
No flammable liquids, shingles, paint or chemicals will be accepted. As a courtesy to workers, separate items and bag securely to speed unloading and reduce labor.
Directions to precinct barns are as follows: Precinct 1 — Commissioner George Conley, 817-220-7218, 3000 Veal Station Road, Highway 51N. Turn east on Veal Station Road go to Old Springtown Road turn south, stay to the left at stockpile. Precinct barn on the right. Precinct 2 — Commissioner Craig Peacock, 817-594-4022, 3033 FM RD 1885. From Weatherford FM 920 west, 7 miles to FM 1885, turn west go 4 miles, county barn on west side of 1885 at intersection of New Authon and 1885. Precinct 3 — Commissioner, John Roth, 817-594-0371, Interstate 20 W to Exit 397, FM 1189, turn left and cross overpass. Precinct barn 1 mile on left. Precinct 4 — Commissioner Dusty Renfro, 596-0004, FM 5 south, 2 1/2 miles turn right on Airport Road approximately .2 miles to barn.
