Richard O. Beene, 62, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008, at a Fort Worth care facility.
Richard O. Beene was born Dec. 13, 1945, in Weatherford, the son of Doyle O. and Katie Young Beene. Richard was a proud veteran and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Richard was known to have life long friends from as far back as the first grade. A gentle and very caring man, he was his mother’s rock after his father, Doyle, passed away. He took life a little at a time. Richard was a Baptist.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Doyle O. Beene; sister, Cheryl Beene; niece, Tracey Davis; and nephew, Brandon Perkins.
Survivors include his wife of nine years and love of his life, Glenda Beene of Crowley; daughter, Star Bolt and husband, Jeffrey, of Weatherford; son, Shawn Sears and wife, Kim, of Crowley; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Katie Beene; sisters, Carol Peacock and husband, Benny, of Weatherford and Becky Crow and husband, Bob, of Edmond, Okla.; companion dog, Beebe; nieces, Ashley Shetter and husband, Ken, of Burleson and Jessica Crow of Edmond, Okla.; and a host of loving family and friends.
Celebration of Life is 2 p.m. Wednesday in White’s Chapel of Memories.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
