Robert W. “Bob” Manney, an engineering executive who performed instrumental roles in several Lockheed Martin military aircraft programs, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008.

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20, Weatherford. A private service was held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob’s memory may be made to the Texas Pythian Home in Weatherford, the American Heart Association, or a charity of choice.

Bob was born Nov. 10, 1943 in Pasadena. After graduating in 1968 from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, he began his career with Lockheed Martin (then General Dynamics) where he spent 40 years working in a broad range of engineering positions. Most recently he was vice president of Enterprise Process Integration for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company of Fort Worth.

Survivors: His loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn; son, Shawn; grandchildren, Emily and Austin; brother, Norris Manney; and sister, Rose Bundick.
